Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs by [Barrett, Judi]

Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs talks about a town named Chewandswallow, where people do not go to grocery shopping because their food simply falls out of the sky. When unfortunate weather begins, the people also begin to wonder whether the food falls out of the sky is edible. After I read the book, I could see that the illustrations have both black and white and colors. The texts on each page are small and place in the square boxes. There are some pages that have long texts and some pages have less text.

I would rate this book four out of four because I think the book will help students spark their imagination. This book also has a movie that goes along. Students can read the book to know about the details and then watch the movie where they can see the book in action. I think this book would be appropriate for fourth to fifth grade and middle students since beginner readers cannot comprehend the text. Older students can comprehend the texts but I do not think they will receive any benefit from this book because the reading level is super easy for older students.
