Soup Day is about a young girl and her mom decide to cook vegetable soup on a cold and snowy day. They work together to cook the soup. While they are waiting for the father and the soup to be done, the mom and the young girl had a nice time reading and playing games together.
I would rate this book four out of four since this book help students understand the importance of nutritious food. When students read this book they will learn step by step on how to cook vegetable soup. In addition, at the end of the book, there is a recipe on how to cook vegetable soup. With a great illustration, I believe students from pre-l to first grade would be able to understand the story of this book.
